]]> In Guyana’s Rupununi region, while on our Rupununi Brazil Tour, we encountered some giants—not the kind from fairy tales, but towering termite mounds that rise 10 to 15 feet above the savanna grasslands like nature’s own skyscrapers. As our vehicle rolled across the open plains, these ancient structures appeared one after another, their conical shapes silhouetted against the wide sky and distant mountains, each mound a bustling underground city built over decades by tiny termites working together.

The giant anthills are another one of the amazing sights you can enjoy while driving through the Rupununi savannah region on our 4 Days Rupununi Brazil Tour.
